Manoj Juneja

Manoj is the Managing Partner of Catalyst Advisory. He has more than 20 years of top leadership experience in the United Nations spanning humanitarian, development and peace-building contexts.

His functions at the rank of Under Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General across three UN agencies included: Deputy Executive Director & CFO at the World Food Programme, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2020; Deputy Director General (Operations) and Assistant Director General (Management) at the Food and Agriculture Organization, where he also led strategy, budget and corporate performance; and Executive Director Support Services & Comptroller at the International Labour Organization.

Manoj holds a Masters and Bachelors degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and is a Chartered Accountant.

He is a Research Affiliate at the University of California, Berkeley, and has taught finance and management at the LSE, Boston University and the University of Geneva.

Tommaso Paiar

Tommaso is an Associate Partner at Catalyst Advisory. He has 20 years of experience in the United Nations, private equity and strategy consulting.

Before joining Catalyst Advisory, he co-founded the UN Advisory Alliance, the "management consulting arm" of the United Nations, hosted by the World Food Programme. In this role, he led numerous change initiatives in different UN entities, including the UN Secretariat, UNHCR, WFP, WHO, FAO, UNFPA, UN Women and IAEA.

Prior to that, Tommaso advised Private Equity funds and family offices on private sector company acquisition and performance improvements. He started his career at the strategy consulting form Bain & Company, where he was responsible for project management and monitoring of large change initiatives, reorganizations, business process re-engineering studies, and cost reduction exercises.

Tommaso holds a Masters of Engineering from the University of Trento (Italy). He has also studied at the University of Nottingham (UK) and has been a visiting researcher at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden).

Duncan Martin

Duncan serves as the Principal Advisor at Catalyst Advisory. With decades of experience across 15 countries, he has worked with a wide range of financial institutions, other private sector firms, and social impact clients, including the World Food Programme, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, and the World Economic Forum. His areas of expertise include organizational design, operating models, and crisis management.

Duncan also serves as Senior Advisor at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he was a Senior Partner and Managing Director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee. He co-founded and co-led the BCG Risk and Compliance teams in Western Europe and North America.

Duncan also serves on the Boards of Chetwood, a UK challenger bank, and Insightful, a complaince SaaS firm.

Duncan holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge, an MBA from The Wharton School, a Master’s from the Lauder Institute, and a Master's from University College London.
